USAF Operations Research Analyst

Summary Description:

Avanco International, Inc. is searching for a full-time employee to serve as a professional Operations Research Analyst, as an expert senior technical advisor to high level authorities within the USAF.  This individual will be responsible for performing professional and scientific work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques and provide effectiveness and stability evaluations of various USAF programs. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas:

  • Formulate unique analytical research proposals and studies that recommend alternative courses of action to senior AF Force officials.
  • Develop methods and analysis tools and models to evaluate operational performance against system requirements.
  • Perform complete studies of limited scope or portions of larger projects, modifying/adapting techniques to fit situations, some requiring innovative approaches.
  • Utilize scientific inquiry in the development of mathematical models and computer programs to evaluate and predict the ability to support assigned projects, studies, or problems.
  • Provide technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance to operational test and evaluation programs.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, briefings and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies, and support system concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
  • Knowledge of a wide range of methods and techniques used in operations research studies, operational test and evaluation, and possession of analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions and evaluate effectiveness and suitability of new weapons systems.
  • Knowledge of operational test and evaluation requirements, techniques, laws and policies.
  • Ability to participate in test teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute tests and analysis and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
  • Ability to design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.

  • Security Clearance: Secret – Top Secret (SCI Eligibility)
